Individual Online Therapy

Individual therapy focuses on the emotions, thoughts, feeling, and stressors you are experiencing in the moment. You and I will explore each of these aspects and possibly where they originated.  Once I have gained an understanding of where you are having difficulties and what are your most relevant concerns, you and I will begin the therapeutic process. 

While in sessions with me, you will always guide the sessions in a way that helps you comfortable.  As your therapist, I lead from behind but you are always in control.  I provide you with the tools and understanding to gain insight into what you are experiencing, possibly give you a new perspective on your emotions and thoughts, and help you learn coping skills to manage those areas you are struggling in. 

Many clients believe it is the counselor's job to advise on the matter of their lives but a therapist's job is to assist you with finding the answers you need and that will best serve your life.  Clients also believe that the therapist's job is to make them feel better. However, while feeling better may be the end result, it is both the client's and therapist's job to collaborate on what is best for them.  Feeling better and improving the outcome is always the goal but it is not always the result in every situation. 

Therapists help clients identify, feel, and process those emotions that are causing them distress so they can move forward and function better in life. Individual therapy as with all therapy provides a safe space to work through difficulties regardless of what they are or how they manifested. 

Steps To Therapy

Start with a Consultation

Once you and I have met and determined that we are a good fit, and you have completed all the needed paperwork, you will be then schedule an intake session with me.  This session will involve completing what is called a biopsychosocial to provide me with a better understanding of your history, current situation, health issues, and current medications if any, as well as other important information which allow me to provide you with the best level of care.

• You and I will formulate a treatment plan together

• Counseling sessions are 100% confidential, and in a non-bias environment

• We can discuss your preference and my recommendation for session (weekly or bi-weekly during your  intake session. 

• You are encouraged to keep sessions as agreed upon (weekly, or bi-weekly) as the outcome is much better when you comply with therapy as recommended.

• I will monitor you progress throughout the process and you and I will determine when it is a good time to scale sessions to a bi-weekly or monthly basis until you are ready conclude the therapeutic process.
